Ezra-Nehemiah is about God stirring the hearts of his people, and some Persian Kings, to rebuild the ruins of Jerusalem and how he overcomes opposition to it--opposition from outside the community and opposition from inside the community. In chapters 4-6 we learn how God dealt with opposition from outside the community. What He did in that day raises the question for us: How does God deal with opposition in the Christian life and how should we face it?
