YOUTH MINISTRY AT COUNTRYSIDE
The mission of youth ministry at Countryside Community Church is to make lifelong disciples of Jesus Christ. We do this by partnering with parents, families, and other adults to help students connect with God, grow together, and impact the world.
To this end, our primary ministry to youth is the Sunday worship gathering. At this weekly meeting, we gather as a multi-generational congregation for the purpose of worship, teaching, serving, and fellowship. As the gathered local church, youth participate alongside adults to sing, pray, read, and hear the Word of God.
Although we believe Christian parents are the primary disciplers of their children, we also recognize the important role of the local church. So, in addition to the Sunday worship gathering, we also have regular youth group meetings throughout the week.
CY is our Middle School community. We meet Wednesday evenings at 7:00 pm for a fun evening of games, great music, a short thought-provoking message and interaction in small groups. CY provides a safe space to ask questions and make new friends. We’ve got an enthusiastic staff ready to get to know you!
Our weekly meeting for high school students is called CREW. We meet on Sunday evenings from 7:00 to 8:30pm. A typical meeting at Crew includes a game, some singing led by a student band, a teaching from the Bible, and a time of small group discussion. In addition to CREW, we also plan service projects, camps and retreats, and other events for the purpose of discipleship, relationship-building, and serving others. We recognize that living as a follower of Jesus is becoming increasingly difficult for young people today, especially as our culture becomes more secularized and post-Christian. For this reason, our goal is to graduate students who deeply understand the Gospel; who are known and loved in Christian community; and who are equipped to impact the world through Gospel proclamation of word and deed..
Middle Schoolers- want to go deeper? Outlet is our Sunday morning gathering that focuses on getting to know God on a deeper, more personal level. It’s a worship service that’s designed to help you grow in your faith journey. We spend time discovering what the Bible has to say about who Jesus is, what he’s done for us and how he calls us to respond. Outlet meets Sunday mornings, 11:15 am in the Youth Room.
