The holidays can be tough on families who are struggling to get by. Our Care Team along with Willowbrook Food Pantry has identified 90 families in need of food for Thanksgiving. Would you be willing to pick up a few things to contribute? Check in at the Info Table Sunday and pick up a food tag. Purchase your food items and bring them to church on Sunday, November 19. We’ll need help packing the boxes, so come back at 2:00 pm if you can help! Thanks for caring!
Thanksgiving Eve Service
Giving thanks is a part of our daily lives as Christians, but once a year we gather together in an intimate setting to worship and give thanks as a community. This service has become a very special, valued tradition at Countryside. We’ll sing, express gratitude for what God has done, and share in communion at the Lord’s Table. Start the holiday season with a thankful heart! Wednesday, November 22 at 7:00 pm.
Curt Cloninger Returns
You may remember Curt from his Palm Sunday performance a few years back. He’s returning with “Celebrate the Child”, his one-man Christmas performance. Curt portrays six different characters (both historical and imagined) whose lives were somehow intertwined with the birth and early years of Jesus. Interspersed with musical solos and audience carol singing, the event is an intimate experience of the incarnation of God in Jesus. Sunday November 26, all services.
Women’s Christmas Dessert – Love’s Pure Light
This is one of our most treasured events! Come for a beautiful night away from the noise of the holiday season as we bring the purity of our Savior back in the spotlight. Simplify the season by creating a thoughtful DIY craft you can take home and replicate as gifts. We’ll have a presentation of the Christmas story, caroling, and treasured family dessert recipes from our Countryside women to enjoy! This is a perfect event to bring your girlfriends to.
