Baptism

Jesus commanded that everyone who believes in him as their Lord and savior be baptized with water in the name of God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19).

We are delighted to welcome both children and adults to Christian baptism (Acts 2:38-39).

Adult converts to Christianity are to be baptized soon after making a profession of faith in Jesus, while children of Christian parents may be baptized before they profess faith in Jesus.

Under the New Covenant in Christ, Baptism, like circumcision in the Old Testament, is a sign and seal of being made right with God through faith in His saving promises fulfilled in Jesus (Romans 4:9-12; Colossians 2:11-12). It also signifies forgiveness and cleansing of sin, being spiritually buried and raised with Christ in his physical death and resurrection, being regenerated and indwelt by the Holy Spirit, and being adopted into the family of God (Titus 3:5; Romans 6:1-4; Ephesians 1:13-14; Galatians 3:2, 26,27).

If you think the time is right for you to get baptized, or you would like to have your children baptized, we would love to talk with you about it.
