Phillip and Stephanie Voland are working to plant a church in Pinneberg, Germany, a suburb about 15 miles northwest of Hamburg. Most Germans/Europeans believe that church is neither relevant nor useful in their contexts. The Volands are working to find ways of breaking down barriers and building bridges to model what the love of Christ is all about.
The picture above is a big part of why God is bringing missionaries to Germany: it says "The Bible is a Fairy Tale" and you will see it written all over the cities in northern Germany, particularly outside of churches. People are very skeptical about Jesus; most Germans see Christianity and Religion as a thing of the past, something "evolved" society no longer has a need for.
