What do you want?

Series: Questions Jesus Asked

What do you want?

February 22, 2026 | Mike Matousek

Jesus asks two of John's disciples "What do you want?" Think about that for a second. He’s not asking who they are. He’s not asking what they believe. He’s asking about their motive. He cuts straight past all the superficial stuff and goes directly to the heart. It’s a question that demands uncomfortable honesty. “What is the ultimate answer that you believe will satisfy the deepest, truest longing of your soul?”

Series Information

Every question Jesus asked (there are over 300 recorded) was not an attempt to receive information but to cause the receiver to reflect on something in relationship to his/her relationship to Him. Join us as we consider how Jesus' questions get to the heart of our motivations and most importantly, how we relate to Jesus.
