Worship Arts
Service Support
The worship ministry seeks to lead people to experiencing the presence and power of Jesus as we exalt His name in worship. Whether you serve in the band or in production you are joining a family who is focused on serving the church to help them worship.
While different roles require different gifts, the worship ministry has lots of different ways to serve. Look through the opportunities below to find something you are interested in and reach out to pastor Jon Knapp for more information.
Production
If you are interested in serving in the production ministry. The weeks you serve it is generally a commitment to both a Thursday night practice and Sunday morning services. We love all the generations serving together. You can serve monthly or every week based
on your schedule and volunteer needs.
Media – This person operates the computer that puts lyrics on the screens during the music and message. The computer is pre-programmed so volunteers mostly just press a single button, however you need to be able to focus throughout the services to not miss the
moments.
Front of House Audio – This is the sound person that actively mixes the sound for what people hear in the room. They should be a lover of music, and someone who is not intimidated by technology.
Livestream Switcher – The switcher the final source in the chain before everything goes out online. They choose which camera shots to use, and make sure everything is right before it is sent out. This person should be able to multitask, be familiar with computers, and able to give
attention to detail.
Camera operator – Our camera operators create relevant shots utilizing our video cameras to frame whatever is happening on stage and in the room. This is done with a hardware controller.
Online Audio – This person mixes the sound for our online audience. This person should be a lover of music, and someone who is not intimidated by technology.
Administrative assistance – The worship ministry could use help in multiple areas from preparing music books, preparing slides for sermons, charging batteries, etc. A person could volunteer for just one, or multiple items.
Stage Design – Are you able to build things? Or like design? Or lighting? We are looking to put a team of people together with a wide range of gifts to come together to implement a stage design a couple times a year. Serving in this way is “as needed” (typically 4 times a year) vs. weekly or monthly.
