Lynette Sanchez
Pastor of Children's Ministry
Lynette is a native Midwesterner, who grew up in Illinois and Wisconsin. It was in a cornfield in Illinois where she first met her husband, Jon, in 2000 as they prepared for a mission trip to Europe. She has a bachelor's degree in journalism and mass communication from Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa and a master's degree in Biblical Studies from Multnomah University in Portland. Even while studying magazine journalism in college, Lynette felt called to ministry and helping those in the church understand their identity and call in Christ. Deeply passionate about the Bible, she is a self-proclaimed Bible nerd who loves bringing the Word to life for all ages. In working with kids and their families she desires for the Bible to be a native language for kids, for them to experience God in profound ways, and to know they are valued and belong in our church community. Jon and Lynette have three kids, Ari, Noa and Ava. In the very small amount of free time Lynette has you’ll find her reading, editing, or baking.
