What does the Queen of Sheba have to do with Jesus? With us! Everything! Long before Jesus, she travelled 1000 miles to discover Solomon's rumored wisdom and faith. In so doing, she set the bar high for everyone to seek after Jesus and His wisdom, who is far superior to Solomon! The reality of Solomon's wisdom and faith far exceeded her expectations! "What I was told was not the half of it!" I'm sure we'll all say the same when we meet Jesus face to face! But even now, let's follow the Queen of Sheba's example to find Jesus, worship Him, and then let's live for Him too!

1 Kings 10:1-10, 13 NIV 

1. SOLOMON’S  WITH GOD WAS FAMOUS!

1 Kings 10:1 When the queen of Sheba heard about the fame of Solomon and his relationship to the Lord, she came to test Solomon with hard questions. 

2. THE QUEEN WAS  BY WHAT SHE FOUND.

1 Kings 10:3 Solomon answered all her questions; nothing was too hard for the king to explain to her. 

3. THE FAMOUS STORIES WERE !

1 Kings 10:6–8a She said to the king, “The report I heard in my own country about your achievements and your wisdom is true. But I did not believe these things until I came and saw with my own eyes. Indeed, not even half was told me; in wisdom and wealth you have far exceeded the report I heard. How happy your people must be! 

4. HER PRAISE SURPRISINGLY BUT APPROPRIATELY .

1 Kings 10:9 Praise be to the Lord your God, who has delighted in you and placed you on the throne of Israel. Because of the Lord’s eternal love for Israel, he has made you king to maintain justice and righteousness.” 

5.THE QUEEN’S NEXT RESPONSE: SHE GAVE .

1 Kings 10:10 And she gave the king 120 talents of gold, large quantities of spices, and precious stones. Never again were so many spices brought in as those the queen of Sheba gave to King Solomon. 

6. THE KING’S FAREWELL GIFT WAS EXCEEDINGLY .

1 Kings 10:13 King Solomon gave the queen of Sheba all she desired and asked for, besides what he had given her out of his royal bounty. Then she left and returned with her retinue to her own country. 

7. THE QUEEN OF SHEBA KNEW  WHEN SHE SAW IT!

Mt 12:42 “The Queen of the South will rise at the judgment with this generation and condemn it; for she came from the ends of the earth to listen to Solomon’s wisdom, and now something greater than Solomon is here.” 

8. TRUSTING ANYTHING OR ANYONE BUT JESUS IS  AS GOOD.

1 Corinthians 1:24b NLT Christ is the power of God and the wisdom of God. 

Colossians 2:3 NLT In him lie hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. 

Ephesians 3:20–21 Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.
