 SATAN’S THREE STRATEGIES TO STEAL GOD’S GLORY 

1. TEMPT  TO DISOBEY GOD.

Genesis 3:1 Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the Lord God had made. He said to the woman, “Did God really say, ‘You must not eat from any tree in the garden’?” 

2. TEMPT, HUMILIATE, AND/OR DESTROY .

Matthew 2:16 When Herod realized that he had been outwitted by the Magi, he was furious, and he gave orders to kill all the boys in Bethlehem and its vicinity who were two years old and under, in accordance with the time he had learned from the Magi. 

3. CORRUPT AND/OR SHUT DOWN , THE BRIDE OF CHRIST.

Ephesians 5:25–27 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word, and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless. 

Pressing Forward 

1. THE BATTLE ISN’T .

2 Chronicles 20:15b This is what the Lord says to you: ‘Do not be afraid or discouraged because of this vast army. For the battle is not yours, but God’s. 

2. SATAN IS GOING TO .

Matthew 16:18b I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it. 

3. THE WAR IS ALREADY !

1 John 5:4 Everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith. 

*Press forward without fear!

Romans 8:31–32 If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? 

*Fix your eyes on Jesus: it will energize you.

Heb 12:2–3 Let us run, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart. 

*Remember the finish line! 

2 Timothy 4:7–8 I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.
Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge,
will award to me on that day—and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.
